As in personal communication the art of listening is imperative when it comes to business relations. So often people try to impose their belief or have it in their mind as a consultant, analyst, or manager that they know "what it is". As I get older the omnipresent truth is that none of us truly know "what it is". The best solution for this is to actually listen. In every conversation take time to pause. Supress that which is boiling over and needing to come out and listen. The results will suprise you. This discipline will bring results that had never been considered or expected. For large companies maybe the newest innovative idea and for smaller companies the difference between success and failure.
